What is Laser Hair Removal?

During treatment, a laser beam is targeted toward the hair follicle, destroying it and preventing future hair growth. This technology can be safely used on most areas of the body including the bikini area, legs, arms, chest, back, shoulders, stomach, neck, chin, and sideburns. Each treatment session is spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart to target each hair growth cycle.

Am I a Candidate?

The DiolazeXL® can be safely used on Fitzgerald skin types I-VI who have black or brown hair color in the treatment area. This is because the laser targets the pigment (melanin) of the hair follicle, making treatment less effective on blonde, red, or gray hair.

Is it permanent & how many treatments will I need?

Laser hair removal with DiolazeXL® is permanent. The treatment targets the follicles precisely to eliminate hair growth. When the treatment has been completed, the treated hair follicles will no longer grow. Patients will no longer have to wax, pluck, or shave the treated area, and touch-ups are not necessary on the eliminated hair follicle. Expect up to a 95% reduction in hair loss following InModes 6-8 treatment protocol.

How to prepare for my visit?

• To ensure a safe and effective procedure, make sure to not wax or pluck any of the treatment areas at least four to six weeks prior to undergoing laser hair removal. This is because the hair follicle must be visible to the laser in order to destroy it.

• You should also shave the treatment area one to three days before your procedure, so the laser effectively targets the follicle and not just the hair on the surface of your skin.

• It is also important to avoid sun exposure for at least six weeks before and after treatment. -Sun exposure can make laser hair removal less effective and can increase the risk of complications following treatment.
